The First Mall based Ambulatory Clinic in the Philippines is now the 1st stand alone primary care facility in the world to be accredited by Accreditation Canada International.
Accreditation Canada International (ACI) promotes health and quality improvement in the world and is the international arm of Accreditation Canada.
The motivation to enter into this accreditation program is for the affirmation of Clinica Manila’s “quality mantra” and continuing commitment to total quality improvement. The accreditation process would further imbue its healthcare professionals, employees and staff and all stakeholders a visible process and measurable outcomes of “Quality Healthcare with a Personal Touch”.
Clinica Manila has chosen Accreditation Canada International among other accrediting bodies for quality healthcare because of their more than 50 years of experience in conduction accreditation of clinics, and hospitals in Canada. They are a very well respected organization that even governments like France’s health care system was assesed and is accredited by Accreditation Canada.
Throughout the accreditation process Clinica Manila was able to implement additional safety measures for staff and clients, and several facility improvements were also put in place. One of the most significant facility improvements was the purchase and use of a Computed Radiography Machine which makes digital images of x-ray exposure of clients.
The use of a Computed Radiography Machine uses digital image in replacement to the x-ray images seen on x-ray films. This development has eliminated the need for clients to have a re- exposure to x-rays if the right contrast is not achieved. A clear image results to a better reading of results and to a more precise diagnosis.
The accreditation of Clinica Manila is the affirmation that we are truly committed in giving our clients quality health care services that they deserve.
